The article is devoted to the actual problem of reforming the system of additional professional education. The article suggests an overview of the main approaches to the analysis of DPO & emphasizes the insufficient dynamics & inertial nature of the system update. The author shows the example of the corporate organizational structure of the Technical Academy & shows the complexity of the tasks & functions of the DPO system, the diversification of activities & stresses the importance of innovation approaches to managing the institution of education system through the life.
