Factors that complicate communication in the German-speaking world

This article analyses the problems of the cross-cultural communication on the example of German culture. The author emphasizes linguistic and non-linguistic factors that may cause communicative alienation. This includes heterogeneity of the German language and its functioning in the form of various dialects, borrowing from the English language, and socio-economic inequality after the German reunification.
