The article considers the main groups of biologically active substances of calendula Officinalis, the effectiveness of this phytopreparation in the experiment and clinical practice. The pathogenetic mechanisms based on regenerating, anti-inflammatory, antiedematous and antioxidant effects of Calendula Officinalis are considered. We have discussed the applications and prospects for development of new drug forms based on Calendula Officinalis.
