The article examines the reflection of international security in the aspect of the phenomenon of information distortion and technology of post-truth formation. The relevance of addressing the problem of changing and deforming information in the process of its reuse in social communication is also dictated by the problem of avalanche-like expansion of communication technologies, “information noise”, which determine the generation of new realities that significantly affect various spheres of society. The article provides a socio-philosophical analysis of such phenomena as confirmation bias, cascade of available information, illusion truth effect, political media fram-ing, framing, literalization, distortion of cause-effect relationships, etc. The essence and significance of the phenom-enon of post-truth are defined. It is shown that the socio-philosophical analysis of new information trends is an integrating methodological framework for understanding modern challenges in the field of international security. At the same time, understanding this phenomenon of post-truth makes it possible to identify the risks and possible negative consequences of the expansion of information technology in the field of international cooperation.
