The Phenomenon of Patriotism: Axiological Perspective

The article analyzes the underlying philosophical foundations that form historical and philosophi-cal interpretations of patriotism in different eras. Patriotism is presented as a complex phenomenon that integrates emotional, ethical and social components. The relevance of the study is due to the need to clarify the value orien-tations of the nation, culture and state in the context of modern geopolitics. Comparative analysis of the perception of patriotism in Russia and other cultural environments allows us to comprehend more deeply the meaning of this phenomenon and avoid its distorted understanding. Special attention is paid to the issues of self-identification, responsibility and civic duty. The conclusion emphasizes the significance of a meaningful, spiritually-oriented ap-proach to patriotism in Russian philosophy, especially in the context of contemporary ethical and cultural diversifi-cation that challenges traditional notions of national identity. The article is intended to stimulate the reader to think about the role of philosophical ideas in shaping a constructive and positive understanding of patriotism.
