This article presents the substantiation of the phenomenon of “right”, which is understood as a value-organized integrity formed over a long period of time under the influence of ethical and humanistic attitudes, as well as political, economic and general cultural processes. In assessing the most important substantive foundations of law, the authors focus on the necessity to analyze the transformational processes of legal norms in relation to the human being. Comparing the ontological, socio-cultural foundations of the phenomena of “law” and “dehumanization”, a number of common and distinctive features are identified. Both of these phenomena have a “meaningful focus” on man and are simultaneously the result of his activity. However, if law is a way of constitutionalizing public relations in order to regulate them, then dehumanization is characterized as an element of destructiveness, destabilization of the world. It is assumed that the topics of law, humanism and dehumanization are relevant, as they are the most important worldview guidelines for both the individual and society as a whole.
