The author considers the features of the functioning of the construction industry as a priority industry in terms of the multiplier effect in this industry and the creation of chains of cooperation. Analyzes widely used methods of stimulating the industry. Justifies the negative effects of a low mortgage rate from the standpoint of homebuyer spending. He notes the low efficiency of the old mechanisms to support the construction industry, as well as the priority given to a flexible system for regulating the cost per square meter of housing by controlling cost estimates based on information modeling, subsidizing the cost of building materials and targeted support for developers, subject to the creation of new jobs. He comes to the conclusion that the phenomenon of housing inflation allows you to take a fresh look at the affordability of housing and the financial performance of developers.
