The article is devoted to the study of ways to conceptualize the events using phenomenological and hermeneutic approaches within the framework of event ontology. The review begins with identifying the features of introduction of the term “event” (Ereignis) by Heidegger. Further, the specific of addressing the event in the framework of phenomenology and hermeneutics is analyzed. It is shown that in the course of phenomenological reduction and hermeneutical interpretation of the basic ontological concepts (time and being), the task is solved not only to characterize these concepts, but also to reflect on the established tradition in a historical and philosophical perspective. The analysis of the concept “event” reveals the multidimensional nature of concepts of time and being associated with it, which is due to their immanent characteristics. In this regard, phenomenology and hermeneutics produce a synergistic effect, providing, on the one hand, a methodological sequence of the research, and on the other - allowing finding new ways in the ontological perspective.
