Philosophy and methodology of social work

The article demonstrates social work as a specific phenomenon of public life. It presents different scientific point of view on the structure of social work. Special attention is paid to the disclosure of the nature of the formation of social work as a science and its theoretical and methodological foundations, and its interdisciplinary nature, organic connection with other sciences, primarily with humanities. The author emphasizes the interrelationship and interdependence of social philosophy and sociology. The author widely covers the specific aspects of the methodology of social work associated with identifying methods and their interesting characteristic in relation to social work. From a methodological point of view, the article deals with laws, principles of social work as a science, types of practical activity, an academic discipline. The article describes the main approaches of social work as practical activity, subjects and objects of social work with general philosophical and sociological positions.
