Philosophical practice in the context of practical philosophy and applied ethics: problems and prospects (Russian experience)

The article analyzes the problems and prospects of philosophical practice (philosophical consulting) as a new trend in Russian philosophical science. The relevance of the topic is revealed from several angles. First of all, philosophical counseling is an attempt at a rational resolution of the subject's existential problems, a search for answers to his ultimate questions, which is important for the individual in times of anthropological and axiological crises, in the situation of current political, economic and cultural transformations. Secondly, such a phenomenon as philosophical counseling, although noticed, has not yet been fully understood by the academic community, so there is a need to define the place of philosophical practice in modern philosophical scholarship. The scientific novelty of the study lies in the implementation of a comparative analysis of philosophical practice and applied ethics as manifestations of practical philosophy. As a result, practical and theoretical components of philosophical practice are identified, paradoxes of philosophical practice are formulated, variants of its development in modern Russia are predicted.
