The subject of the research is the features of the philosophical language of I. Kant and J.-P. Sartre in the context of the problematics of the complexity of the philosophical language as such and external linguistic features of natural languages. The aim of the work is a comparative analysis of the philosophical language of Kant and Sartre. The attention is focused on their epistemological and ethical discourse. First of all, the author concentrates on the specifics of such conceptual constructs as the concept of meanings and concept of the fold, as well as on which lexemes Kant and Sartre’s texts can be appropriately identified. The complexity of the language of both philosophers is emphasized and illustrated, its reasons are specified. The different type of complexity of the philosophical language of Kant and Sartre, as the author shows, can be productively recognized in the context of his distinction between concept-meanings and concept-folds. The conclusion that the complexity of the languages of the compared philosophers is caused by various reasons has been made. In the case of Kant, the very system of concept-meanings is complex; in the case of Sartre, the complexity of the introduced concept-folds is sometimes added.
