The purpose of the article is to analyze philosophical narrative as a special method of organizing the text in Timur Pulatov's novel "Possessions". Researchers of T. Pulatov's work have repeatedly emphasized the philosophical nature of the story. We focus on the features of narrative in the author's literary style. The flight of the central character, his reminiscences, the events that imbue him are presented through the prism of allegory giving metaphorical character to the text of the work as a special representation of life as a whole, its cycle, a model of the universe. The specificity of the author's narration is revealed through the memories, sensations, worldview of his hero - an old kite, whose ability to reflect leads to awareness of the finiteness of all living things. It is shown that the kite, when organizing his actions during one of his days (the most important day), gives an assessment of his life, setting the events in a sequence determined only by him, weaving into them ontological pictures of the creatures living next to him. We have summarized that thanks to the narrative it is possible to analyze the process of selfidentification, self-understanding and awareness of one's place in the world.
