Philosophical and Semiotic Understanding of the Semantics of Uncertainty

Бесплатный доступ

The article examines the history of studying the category of certainty/uncertainty in philosophy and the semiotic understanding of the samantics of uncertainty. Initially, the category of certainty/uncertainty was considered an object of study in philosophy. In linguistics, certainty/uncertainty was considered a quality inherent only to article languages, in which the article was an external marker of certainty/uncertainty. The category of certainty/uncertainty is a universal category that is inherent in any language. Further, the article examines signs in Unicode, as well as non-verbal signs that convey this or that meaning of uncertainty, indicating uncertainty. The connection between the semantics of uncertainty and the semantics of danger and possibility is noted. Uncertainty can have not only a material expression, but also the so-called zero one.
