The article examines the key concepts of stress and stressful situations, stressful among students. Stress is recognized as an inevitable consequence of the modern life of students, workloads, difficulties in new relationships, a new independent life. It is capable of destroying the mental and physical health of a person. Various types of mental disorders can develop due to prolonged stress. The conditions of human life are constantly becoming more complicated, the flow of emotional and informational loads is growing. The requirements for the psychological adaptive potential of the student, methods of preventing stressful influences and their consequences for the individual are also changing. Exercise is an effective tool for both physical development and psychological development. Exercise has a beneficial effect on the formation of balance, dedication, concentration, performance and, of course, stress resistance. Physical culture also affects the development of a student's health, his habits and lifestyle, on which the ability to resist stress also depends.
