His article discusses development of wood-polymer composites based on polylactide and wood waste intended for use in building materials. It has studied physical, mechanical and thermal properties of composites with different component ratios. It is determined that the best performance characteristics are demonstrated by composites containing 75 wt. % polylactide and 25 wt. % wood chips. This composition provides optimal bending strength (42 MPa), thermal stability and minimal water absorption.
