The article presents the results of studies on the characteristics of the processes of lipid peroxidation and catalase activity in the body of ducks at different age periods. It has been established that during various periods of postnatal ontogenesis in the duck organism, an increase in peroxidation processes is observed. It was established that the level of superoxide anion radical by 30 days increased by 22 %, by 60 days - by 39.5 % relative to the first, significant changes in the content of MDA in the blood serum, muscles and duck liver were also noted. A significant increase in catalase activity is recorded in blood serum, in liver and heart tissue.
