The article is concerned with the review and evaluation of folklore materials and beliefs of the Komi-Zyryans. Publications of authentic folklore texts in “Commission’s Collection on Dictionary Compostion and Komi Dialects Study” of 1930-1931 are analyzed. Particular attention is paid to the publication of lamentations and folktale texts in Komi language with translations into Russian carried out by the authors of the articles.
