Folk tradition in the poem «War and peace» by V. Mayakovsky (artistic functions of paroemias)

The article discusses the functioning of the folk tradition in the poetics of Vladimir Mayakovsky. The object of the research is his early work, the poem «War and Peace». The article is not about the external manifestation of the folk tradition, but the internal forms. The author draws parallels with the poetics of conspiracy and funerary complex. Folklore code allows looking at the work of the poet differently and identifying new «roots» of avant-garde aesthetics.
