Introduction. The problem of improving the professional competencies of a teacher and their transfer to the subjects of supplementary education has been insufficiently studied. Moreover, the question of what range of competencies is learnt by the subjects of supplementary education remains unresolved. The aim is to establish continuity between the improvement of professional competencies of a teacher of supplementary education and the formation of a set of basic competencies in the subjects of supplementary education.
