The development of youth values in Tomsk region through the social design technology

The paper deals with the problem of the “value vacuum” of the modern youth in Russia. It is proposed to use social design technology when developing youth values to address this issue. The study presents the diagnostic questionnaire for instrumental and terminal values of adolescents and young people involved in education. It describes the procedure for implementing the social design technology: the training of social design coaches, their visits to municipalities to train young people and assist in social designing. Data on the respondents’ values at the first and final design stages are compared. The author concludes that there is a shift from hedonic values to social ones among young people during their study.
