The analysis is based on an assessment of the quantitative characteristics of agricultural personnel training system: the total number of institutions of tertiary education; the number of students majoring in agriculture in organizations of higher and secondary vocational education; growth rates of students majoring in agricultural programs of higher and secondary vocational education. Data on institutions of tertiary education are presented for 2022 (monitoring data for 2023) and compared to 2016 (monitoring data for 2017). Calculations for the given contingent of students are given by federal districts, taking into account the movement of regions by districts. Training of personnel for agriculture for the period of 2016-2022 shifted into the system of secondary vocational education. In terms of federal districts, the share of the given contingent of students studying in secondary vocational educational institutions is higher in Siberian Federal District, in higher educational institutions - in North Caucasus Federal District. In terms of regions - leaders in the given contingent of agricultural students - there are almost no intersections by regions (with the exception of Volgograd Oblast).
