Formation of financial literacy through the implementation of the "Tax alphabet" school development program

The article studies the current issues of forming financial literacy through the implementation of the "Tax Alphabet" school development program, the development of tax culture and literacy among school students. Practical experience in developing tax literacy in both curricular and extracurricular activities of middle and senior school students is provided. Examples of tasks for students of different grades with national and regional components are given. The acquired knowledge in the field of financial literacy and tax culture is one of the main factors of high well-being of the population in the future. Financially literate population is a guarantee of economic prosperity of the country and stability of the economy. The importance of teaching children to navigate in the constantly chang-ing modern world, to apply knowledge in the field of taxation in practice, and to instill a conscious attitude towards compliance with the laws of the Russian Federation is noted.
