Formation of students’ deep thinking (at English lessons)

This article presents the need for the development of independent deep thinking among the younger generation for the purpose of both professional and personal growth. The prospects of improving the quality of communication and life priorities are substantiated. Due to the use of information technologies, modern people’s superficial perception of information is activated, therefore, the article shows the importance of a skillful search for detailed data and the necessity for a holistic vision of the problem task. The importance of applying the method of the parallel study of philosophical truths in a foreign language class is substantiated. The uniqueness of the method lies in the fact that students learn to prove and discuss in Russian and foreign languages. Students are asked to answer a specific philosophical question and read and translate the text, or listen to an audio passage and write down their thoughts on paper. This method allows young people to expand the boundaries of thinking, transform a meager worldview, contributes to the manifestation of new opportunities or directions in solving urgent problems.
