The paper discusses the issue of the formation of foreign language professional communicative competence in Master’s degree students of modern non-linguistic universities in the light of the development and use of foreign language coursebooks. The author indicates the distinctive features of a modern university coursebook that determine its structure and content, the nature of tasks and exercises on the example of developing a foreign language in the professional sphere coursebook for future specialists in international business.
