Formation of foreign-language professional competence among engineering students

The article is devoted to the analysis of formation and development of professional foreign language competence among engineering students in Russia. The key approaches that underlie the educational process are considered. Special attention is paid to the interaction of domestic educational standards with international requirements, as well as the role of foreign languages in the engineering profession. Current directions of cooperation in the field of education between Russia and China are discussed. The article emphasizes the importance of integrating different methodological approaches to improve the quality of specialists' training and create conditions for their successful professional adaptation in the globalized world.
