The formation of intellectual sphere of senior preschool children with mental retardation by means of football

In this article, the author considers the problem of the influence of physical training with the use of elements of football on the development of the intellectual sphere of preschool children with mental retardation. Theoretically significant preconditions of positive influence of physical training with elements of game in football on formation of the cognitive sphere by influence on coordination abilities are resulted. Football, as a means of physical education, with a limit of time for decision-making and transience of game situations, contributes to the development of psychophysiological and mental qualities of the child. A distinctive feature of football, as a means of physical education, is a high degree of development of sensory systems, and a significant improvement of their functioning. Classes with elements of football allow to expand the field of adaptive physical education.
