Forming of rural schoolchildren' intellectual skills

The problem of the forming of intellectual skills of students is very actual in the conditions of modernization of Russian education. The author analyzes the results of the psychological and pedagogical monitoring, which was attended by 603 students at the age of 11-15 years. These studies reveal low level of intellectual skills development, verbal-logical type of thinking of rural schoolchildren. The model of the formation of intellectual skills subject to personal and ethnic peculiarities of rural students based on the analysis of the conducted research is represented. According to the article, steps to formation of intellectual skills are diagnostic, motivational and target, informative and activity, evaluative and reflexive. Suggested criteria for intellectual skills are motivational, intellectual, individual and indicators that allow to assess the level of development of intellectual skills of students at any stage of learning
