Formation of excursion competence of bachelors of tourism

The problem of the formation of tourist competence is one of the urgent problems in pedagogical theory and practice, requiring its further understanding. Based on the GEF 43.03.02 standard “Tourism” (undergraduate level) and the professional standard “Guide (guide)”, a model was created that characterizes the process of forming professional competencies in the field of excursion activity among students of tourist educational programmes. The study of the conceptual field of competence and the specifics of excursion activity allowed us to define the guiding competence. The article presents the results of a pilot study, during which the effectiveness of the formation of guiding competencies for future bachelors of tourism was tested. It has been proved experimentally that the effectiveness of the model is ensured by the implementation of a set of pedagogical conditions.
