Formation of elementary mathematical concepts in senior preschool children with mental development retards through game activities

The authors characterize the features of the formation of elementary mathematical concepts in older preschoolers with mental retardation. The correctional possibilities of gaming activities are determined, the authors consider the main theoretical aspects of the use of gaming technologies in correctional education and their impact on the cognitive and emotional development of children. The results of our own research show that the use of game forms of learning helps to increase children's motivation, improve their cognitive activity and develop the necessary mathematical skills.
