On May 6, 2020, the regional methodological association of teachers (hereinafter - OMS) of disciplines of the general humanitarian and socio-economic cycle (hereinafter - OGSE) of professional educational organizations of the Chelyabinsk region celebrated its fifth anniversary. The date, at first glance, is insignificant, but nevertheless, it allows to summarize some of the results of the work. At the meetings of the OMS of teachers of the OGSE, many topical issues were discussed: the transition to a new form of intermediate certification in the Russian language; the formation of the qualities of a citizen-patriot by means of disciplines of the OGSE cycle and extracurricular activities; introduction into the educational process of competence-based technologies and teaching and upbringing methods; anti-corruption education of students; the problem of preparation for the Olympiads; research activities of students as the basis for improving the quality of education; improvement of teaching methods and techniques; effective technologies and methods for the formation of spiritual and moral qualities of students; experience in the implementation of the Concept of teaching Russian language and literature in the Russian Federation; designing a lesson and innovative tools for its assessment; issues of organizing project activities of students in the disciplines of the OGSE cycle; modern technologies as a tool for managing the quality of education, etc. The problem of the formation of critical and creative thinking of students turned out to be the subject of constant discussion at the meetings of the OMS of teachers of the OGSE cycle. This question seems to be especially relevant in connection with the emergence of the "4K" model, which includes four key competencies: 1) creativity (the ability to present and develop completely new approaches to solving problems, answering the questions facing the subject, or expressing ideas using, synthesizing or modifying knowledge); 2) critical thinking (purposeful, self-regulating judgment, the result of which is the interpretation, analysis, assessment and conclusions, as well as the explanation of those factors on which the judgment is based); 3) communication (the ability to express and interpret thoughts, feelings and facts in oral and written form, as well as effectively communicate in various social and cultural aspects); 4) coordination / cooperation (effective interaction and effective work in various teams) These competencies lie in the field of meta-subject educational results that can be formed in the classroom disciplines of the OGSE cycle. Consider the views of teachers on this issue.
