Forming a Safety Culture for Schoolchildren and Students: Problems and Solutions

The importance of forming a student's safety culture as a basic component of personal and public safety is emphasized. The diffi culties in the practice of educational organizations in ensuring eff ective activities towards the formation of a safety culture among students are highlighted. The need for regular updating of educational programs, taking into account modern realities and risks, and the use of practice-oriented approaches in education and training is noted. It is shown that the formation of a culture of information security of students implies the development of universal competencies in determining reliable information, assessing the reliability of information sources and protecting personal data. The position on the need to integrate modern information technologies into education, the development of electronic textbooks, interactive materials, and online courses is outlined. It is concluded that the introduction of eff ective methods and modern technologies into educational practice makes it possible to create an integrated system that contributes to a sustainable increase in the level of safety culture of schoolchildren and students.
