The article explores the impact of gaming technologies on the development of lexical skills among third-grade primary school students during English language lessons. It is established that, within the framework of the Federal State Educational Standards for Primary General Education, the emphasis is placed on fostering foreign language communicative competence, with lexical skills being a key component. The study substantiates the importance of a systematic approach to developing lexical skills, considering the psychophysiological characteristics of younger students, particularly their high receptivity to gaming activities. The article outlines the stages of the emergence of gaming technologies, identifies their types and functions, and presents the most well-known classifications. The educational and methodological complex Spotlight 3 is analyzed for its potential to integrate gaming technologies. Examples of developed and tested gaming technologies ("Tasty Adventures,", "Animal Safari") aimed at enhancing the assimilation of lexical material are provided. Additionally, the article describes an experimental study conducted at MAOU Secondary School №6 named after A. V. Kiselev (Krasnouralsk) from September 2024 to January 2025. The results confirm that the systematic use of gaming technologies in English lessons contributes to the formation of lexical skills in primary school students.
