This article explores the role of comparison problems in developing logical thinking among future elementary school teachers in mathematics education. It analyzes problems of difference and multiple comparisons, their significance in the development of analytical skills and the practical application of mathematical knowledge. The methods of comparing differences and proportions are described, as well as their contribution to deepening the understanding of mathematical operations. An example of solving a comparison problem is given, demonstrating the application of various models (verbal, propositional, graphical, mathematical). The importance of using comparison problems for the development of logical and analytical thinking, as well as for preparing students for independent problem solving, is emphasized.
