Intercultural competence of the performer is revealed by the author as an integral feature of the personal and musical competencies that includes a set of General and professional competencies, as well as experience performing activities acquired in the process of artistic and creative activities. This quality is expressed in the ability and willingness of producers to implement effective professional activity in multicultural space. The main criteria for assessing the development of intercultural competence are highlighted: a cognitive criterion, activity-based criterion, emotional-motivational criterion. The effectiveness of intercultural competence in artistic and creative activities is provided by a set of pedagogical conditions providing for the focus on the establishment of special education practice-oriented environment conducive to a more effective motivational and educational impact on the student.
