The purpose of the research is to identify the peculiarities of the formation of the educational system in ancient China. Scientific novelty is determined by the fact that this article presents the materials of Chinese scholars, which have not been previously integrated into the academic discourse. The analysis of Chinese sources allowed to reveal the influence of cultural, social and political factors on the development of educational traditions. The study found that the education system not only contributed to the training of future statesmen and nobles, but also played an important role in preserving the moral and cultural values of society. The work emphasizes the significance of a comprehensive approach to the study of ancient Chinese educational practices and its significance for the formation of civilizational foundations of modern China.
