Formation of an online community of volunteers of cultural institutions during the COVID-19 pandemic: foreign experience

The outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic has caused fundamental changes in the traditional working models of cultural institutions working with the volunteer community. Within the framework of the study, special attention was paid to the consideration of online volunteer programs and their implementation on the basis of foreign museums and libraries in the UK and the USA in the conditions of self-isolation of the population. One of the most important conclusions is that during the quarantine and post-pandemic period, many organizations reviewed existing approaches and formulated fundamentally new key standards for organizing the work of volunteers in cultural institutions, including remote format.
