Traumatic and accidental mortality patterns in the population of agro-industrial region

The main goal of government is to maintain public safety including food supply security. The growth of agricultural production is directly associated with the preservation and promotion of the rural population health. Traumas, poisoning, and other external causes play a particular role in the status of villagers health. The present study was performed in the agroindustrial region of Western Siberia by the continuous method by using the personalized data about deaths caused by traumas and accidents. During the entire period of the study, the mortality rates increased independently on gender and place of residence. The mortality rates among the rural residents were significantly higher and grew significantly faster in comparison with the mortality rates in the urban population. The study showed the significant differences in the traumatic and accidental mortality patterns depending on gender, age, and place of residence.
