Legal knowledge of students as a basis for the development of civil society

The article deals with the various approaches to the content and principles of legal education in modern pedagogy. Legal education is one of the key links in development of students’ system of civic values and law-abiding skills. We have made an attempt to identify the correlation between theoretical approaches in pedagogy to understanding of legal education and real practice. Particular attention is paid to awareness of the importance of legal education by youth and prospective military students. In addition, the article considers the peculiarities of the technologies and content of legal education for young people - civil and military university entrants. The comparison let us see a coherent picture of the trends in development of legal education in modern pedagogy and identify the ways to reform the modern education system.
