The relevance of the study is due to the need to improve the quality of training of students capable of designing and organizing the educational process of the school, predicting the educational results of students. Project culture is a component of pedagogical culture, the most important characteristic of a teacher’s personal qualities; a key activity, manifested in the readiness of the teacher to design the educational process, which contributes to its improvement, the search for innovative approaches to its organization and implementation. The purpose of the study is to develop a model for the formation of a project culture of students of a pedagogical university. The methodological basis for constructing a pedagogical model is determined by systemic, cultural and personal-activity approaches. The pedagogical model of the formation of the project culture of future teachers includes motivational-targeted, content-informational, procedural-activity and evaluative-reflexive components, the main content of which is disclosed in the article. Approaches to the definition of the essence, content and structure of the design culture are considered. The project culture of the future teacher includes value-motivational, content-activity and personal components. A stage-by-stage technology for the formation of a project culture is described, which includes five stages: diagnostic, value-motivational, theoretical-content, activity and reflective. The model and stage-by-stage technology of the formation of the project culture of future teachers that we have considered will contribute to the further development and improvement of the pedagogical training of students in a pedagogical university.
