The strategy of innovative development of the Russian economy is based on the realization of human potential, the effective application of knowledge and skills acquired in professional education at a University, and the readiness of students for self-knowledge, self-awareness, self-realization and self-development. The country's economy needs specialists with a high level of professional development, involving flexibility, mobility and a high degree of adaptation in modern working conditions. New conditions make it necessary to improve the quality of professional education, update the pedagogical content of disciplines at the University, aimed at the successful implementation of students in the field of labor, therefore the presented study is relevant. The paper presents the results of the analysis of literary sources, research by scientists related to the educational process in a technical University, the formation of professionally-applied physical culture of students based on the acmeological approach. Based on the results of the study, a number of criteria were identified that determine the results and effectiveness of the researched process, justified and developed a pedagogical model of formation of professionally-applied physical culture of students in a technical University based on acmeology and a rating control system.
