Formation of professional and social skills of the 21st century in transforming education: the potential of social practice

Technological revolution and the transition to robotic and automated systems actualize the problem of the formation of skills of the 21st century. This problem is considered in foreign and domestic research today. The purpose of the article is to substantiate the idea of using social practice to form professional and social skills of the 21st century. The research objectives are analyzes foreign and Russian studies on the content and the process of forming skills of the 21st century; argues the possibility of using social practice resources as an additional solution to the problem at hand. Theoretical research methods (analysis and synthesis of scientific literature, definition, classification) and empirical methods (documentation analysis) were used. The results of the study consist in the expansion of theoretical ideas about the peculiarities of the formation of professional and social skills of the 21st century among students related to the use of the idea of social practice.
