The article is devoted to the problem of the formation of the social and psychological readiness of orphanage graduates for first employment at the stage dealing with the completion of professional education and the beginning of employment. The problem is resolved through correcting the life values of the young people and bringing their level of demands into alignment with a healthy evaluation of self-esteem and potential.
