In article the essence of social and ecological responsibility of younger school students reveals, need of increase of level of individual and collective ecological responsibility by means of education of ecologically competent generation locates. It is noted that the essence of ecological education in initial classes isn't reduced to assimilation of a certain sum of ecological knowledge, and transition of knowledge to belief as the cementing basis of consciousness, activity, social actions and acts is necessary. Ecological education has to be continuous and to become education during life.
