Forming of students' creative activity during extracurricular reading lessons (on the material of lyric by Bair Dugarov)

The article reviews the problem of detecting students' creative potential during extracurricular reading lessons. When creating a list of books for extracurricular reading, teachers need to consider students' interests and personal impressions, so the themes and images in the lyric by local poets are most familiar to students' life experiences. The article provides unconventional models of lessons, different types of creative tasks and possible results of studying the lyric by the Buryat poet Bair Dugarov. First of all, these are various games using musical interpretation and pictorial illustration of a lyric. A teacher should evaluate not a correctness of task decision, but the extent of students' creative activity. Features of Bair Dugarov's lyric provide teachers with an opportunity to bring out students' interpretative skills. On the lessons of home reading a teacher needs to focus not on textual poem studying, but on creating the atmosphere of free talk and originative game.
