Formation of ideas about models among future mathematics teachers using the educational discipline “Numerical systems”

The possibilities of teaching university students the basics of mathematical modeling are considered. The experience of developing knowledge about the elements of mathematical modeling among undergraduate students in direction 44.03.01 “Pedagogical Education” (profile “Mathematics”) is presented using the educational discipline “Numerical Systems”. It is concluded that modeling of numerical systems contributes to the formation in students of knowledge of the fundamentals of mathematical modeling, which is an integral part of the professional competencies of a teacher at the present stage of development of society.
