The article examines the problem of motivation as one of the main aspects of improving the quality of teaching Russian as a foreign language. The methodology of teaching the Russian language is a leading scientific and educational link, which originates from the achievements of modern linguistics, didactics, pedagogy, psychology, psycholinguistics, based on the methodological heritage of the past, as well as on the experience of teaching the Russian language to foreigners.
