Formation of sciences about magic constructions up to XVIII centure

The article contains historical-mathematical analysis of the valuable contribution of scholars in creation of studies about magic constructions (squares, circles, polygons, crosses, stars and so on). Besides that, methods of construction magic squares (perfect, composite, bordered and so on) were showed. A process of formation studies about this object including period from ancient times up to beginning of XVIII century.
