Development of defense mechanisms in dangerous situations

This article considers the issue of human behaviour in the context of armed conflicts. The impact of negative situations on the emergence and functioning of defense mechanisms of human psyche is defined. The author presents results of the study carried out in the South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University (Odessa), which has revealed the dominant defense mechanisms of research subjects (suppression, regression, compensation, projection).
