Photoinduced recharge of impurity ions in ultradisperse magnesia oxide

Influence of natural and artificial optical radiation upon paramagnetic centers in ultradisperse magnesia powders, of photo- and thermally activated recharge of impurity ions of transition metals of the iron group has been studied using the ESR method. The detected photostimulated transition Mn3++ e- ?_ Mn2+ can be regarded as the basis for an integrating sensor of natural and technogenic UV fluxes with ESR-registration of the effect.
