The values of fractal index of certain parts of cooking salt artificial crystals are obtained. The ani-sotropy effects of fractal characteristics are discovered. The values of hardness and elastic modulus are calculated and compared with the results of other similar investigations. The problem of correlation between fractal parameters and mechanical characteristics is discussed.
